EDSN
The Early Diversionary Support Network (EDSN) provide comprehensive, personalised assistance, connecting you with the services you need, when you need them .
The EDSN is a network of agencies providing support services across the East Kimberley to individuals and families. In the East Kimberley (WA), the EDSN is one of three programs managed by the Family Support and Well-being Service (FSWS) under Key Assets Australia (KAA).
What is EDSN?
The EDSN is a collaborative network of local agencies that provides early intervention and support to families and individuals in the East Kimberley region. We work together to ensure that you can access the right services in your community, including assistance with housing, health, family support, and more.
Our mission is simple: to make it easier for you to get help by providing a single entry point to a wide range of services. We believe that early support can make a significant difference in your life, helping to prevent more complex issues down the track.
Who can access EDSN Services?
- People caring for children or young people who need help accessing local services*.
- Young people (aged 18-25) who are seeking help in accessing support services, especially those who have experienced out-of-home care
- Mature minors (aged 16-17) living independently who need support*
*excluding those involved with Child protection
How can EDSN help you?
When you connect with us, you'll meet with an EDSN Coordinator who will take the time to understand your needs. Together, we will create a tailored support plan, identifying the right services for you. Our coordinators also offer "warm referrals," meaning they’ll help you book appointments and accompany you if needed, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
Here’s how we can help:
- Tailored support plans: We'll work together to create a roadmap based on your unique situation.
- Service connection: Whether it's family support, health services, or housing, we'll connect you with the right services.
- Ongoing support: We don’t just send you on your way. We stick with you to ensure your plan works and adjusts as necessary.
Why choose EDSN?
- Easy Access: One point of contact to reach a wide network of support services.
