International Volunteers Day

5 December is International Volunteers Day! Today we recognise and promote the tireless work of volunteers around the world

Without you, we wouldn’t be possible. Without your support and tireless effort, children would be in less than favourable circumstances. Without your commitment and generosity, we wouldn’t have a story to tell. Today, 5 December, is International Volunteers Day! This is a United Nations celebratory day to recognise and promote the tireless work of volunteers
around the world. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the important role volunteers play in responding to challenges faced across the globe.

All around the world, hundreds of millions of people volunteer their time and skills to help make the world a better place. Closer to home, almost one-third of all Australians participate in voluntary work. Whether this be delivering meals to homeless people, collecting rubbish, volunteering in animal shelters, hospices or libraries, or something differently entirely. These generous people come together from all walks of life and share a commitment to helping others and building a brighter tomorrow.

Here at Key Assets, carers are volunteers who play an integral role in providing care and support for children in need. Your selfless act of opening your heart and home to children is nothing short of impactful. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being the kind, beautiful people that you are!

Today we want to extend our sincere gratitude to all volunteers out there who dedicate their time and effort to build a better and safer future for all. Not all heroes wear capes!
