We work with children and young people and their families across the spectrum of their involvement prior to and with the child protection system, from family preservation through to kinship and Foster Care, or restoration to family.
Prevention of coming into care
Our Prevention of Coming into Care services work with parents when their children have been identified by the local state government department as needing support to make changes in their lives so their children can safely remain at home.
Family restoration or reunification
Family Restoration is the process of working with parents and family to safely return a child or young person to their birth parents after they have been removed from their care.
Kinship carers support
Unlike Foster Carers, Kinship, or Family Carers (the term used in WA) take on the care of their extended family members because of family connections.
East Kimberley Support Network (EKSN)
The EKSN is a collaborative group of agencies providing support services across the East Kimberley (WA) to individuals and families. The EKSN is one of three programs managed by the Family Support and Well-being Service (FSWS) under Key Assets Australia (KAA).
We work together to ensure that people who need support can access the right services in the community. EKSN workers will work closely with families and connect them to the most appropriate services to address their specific needs.
