Key Assets Australia Partners with SWAMS as Preferred Provider for Regional Family Support Hub in the South West

Key Assets Australia is proud to announce its role as the preferred provider for the Regional Family Support Hub.

Key Assets Australia, in partnership with the South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS), is proud to announce its role as the preferred provider for the Regional Family Support Hub in the South West region. This initiative, delivered through the Department of Communities’ Regional Service Model, focuses on supporting families and children by addressing their unique needs while ensuring children remain within their family and cultural community networks.

The Regional Family Support Hub will play an essential role in tackling systemic challenges faced by vulnerable families in the South West. Through culturally sensitive, wrap-around services, the program will help families overcome barriers and challenges, reducing the risk of children entering the foster care system.

Lesley Nelson, CEO of SWAMS, expressed her enthusiasm for the announcement and highlighted the critical importance of Aboriginal-led initiatives in providing culturally safe and effective services.

“This funding is a significant recognition of the unique needs of Aboriginal children and their families. By ensuring these services are delivered by an Aboriginal Community Organisation, we can provide culturally appropriate care that respects our values, traditions, and ways of knowing.

Keeping families together and children out of the foster care system is a priority for SWAMS. This funding will allow us to empower families, provide essential support, and ensure a brighter future for our young ones.”

This partnership with Key Assets Australia underscores the power of collaboration in addressing community needs. By bringing together the expertise of both organisations, the Regional Family Support Hub will deliver a comprehensive and culturally aligned approach to family support in the South West.

“Our teams bring extensive experience working with children and young people across the continuum of care, including family services, Out-of-Home Care (OOHC), and disability services. We are deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, ensuring they thrive. It is a great privilege to partner with SWAMS, and we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, culturally aligned care to the communities we serve.”
