National Safe Work Month

The theme this year is 'Know safety, work safely - encouraging everyone to make health and safety in the workplace a priority'.

October is National Safe Work Month, the theme this year is 'Know safety, work safely - encouraging everyone to make health and safety in the workplace a priority'.

Australians spend 1/3 of their lives at work. A busy working life is unpredictable, and with the changing landscape of COVID-19, lockdowns, and working from home, this has brought a new element for workplace injuries.

Good workplace health and safety practice and risk management have become more important than ever. No job or workplace should be unsafe from physical or psychological harm, and no injury is acceptable. Celebrate National Safe Work Month this October, and raise awareness to workplace health and safety. Use this month as an opportunity to improve your own procedures at your organisation.

Key Assets Australia deeply honours and celebrates the rich and enduring cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising them as the oldest continuing cultures in the world. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands and waters where we live and work. We recognise their profound spiritual connection to the land and pay heartfelt respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We acknowledge the deep trauma, grief, and loss experienced by these communities, both historically and presently, and commit to walking alongside them in support and solidarity.

Key Assets Australia is a non-government, not for profit, non-religious, children, family and community services agency. Our purpose is to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children, families, and communities.
