National Safe Work Month (Week 1)

This weeks theme is 'Injuries At Work'

Everyone has the right to be safe at work. Week 1 of National Safe Work Month focuses on common health and safety risks and how to control these to keep workers safe.

Key Assets is dedicated to workplace injury prevention, whether it is from slips, trips and falls, lifting, pushing and pulling (manual tasks), or moving objects.

How to manage the risk of a fall:

The first step preventing injury at work is to eliminate the risk of a fall. If elimination isn’t possible, you must provide adequate protection. This includes:

  1. Providing a fall prevention device, such as scaffolding or an elevating work platform

  2. Providing a fall prevention device, such as a rope access system, if 1 isn’t possible

  3. Providing a fall arrest system, such as a safety net, if 1 or 2 isn’t possible.
